Woman filmed falling from window ledge brags 'my street cred has gone up'

A woman who was filmed falling from a window ledge has reported that her "street cred has gone right up" after the footage went viral on social media.

Helen Caddis, 47, was attempting to gain access to the upstairs window of a friend's house in west Hull when she lost her footing and tumbled backwards.

The dramatic video , filmed by neighbour Jane Thompson from her living room, shows her flip backwards over a bin, landing painfully on her back.

Ms Caddis was fortunately unhurt, although she sustained grazes to her arms and a "bruised backside", Hull Live reports .

Her pal, 38-year-old Vicky Stevenson, said she only realised she had forgotten her keys as the pair were arriving at her home.

Ms Caddis, who lives roughly ten minutes away by foot, volunteered to try and get in.

Ms Stevenson can be seen supporting Helen by holding up her foot at first, before exiting the frame moments before the dramatic fall.

She said she "nearly peed my knickers" when she saw her friend topple over.

Ms Stevenson said: "She said to me, 'I'm up I'm on the ledge,' then all of a sudden I heard a crash and a bang.

"I nearly peed my knickers, I couldn't stop laughing. I couldn't help it."

Ms Caddis added: "All she did was sit there laughing at me, I couldn't believe it.

"When I first felt it, I felt my head hit the concrete and I was just laying there.

"Once I got up they said to me 'Do you want to sit down?' But I said, 'No, I've got a bruised backside'."

The video of the incident was posted online on Tuesday evening, and has since attracted more than 3 million views.

It has brought its star unexpected fame , which she has vowed to embrace.

She said: "My street cred in Hull has gone right up.

Ms Thompson, 60, said she began filming the pair because she immediately recognised "it was an accident waiting to happen".

Luckily, Ms Caddis's newfound fame has helped to soften the blow, and the two remain close (Jerome Ellerby)

She said: "Once I saw her fall I dropped my phone. I thought, 'Oh my god she's dead.' But then she just got up and walked away.

"I woke up on Wednesday morning and there was 300 [Facebook] notifications from just that video.

"I'm tired of it all now to be honest."
