Chicago police are seeking a man wanted for an attempted sexual assault Saturday morning in West Town on the West Side.

About 12:05 a.m., a 28-year-old woman was walking north in the 400 block of North Morgan Street, when she noticed a white Buick sedan following her, Chicago police said. A man wearing a white shirt, black sweatpants and a blue face mask, got out of the car and began following her on foot.

The man then ran up behind her, grabbed her and forced her into a vacant lot, police said. The man struck the woman and attempted to sexually assault her, but the woman screamed for help and the man ran.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Area Three detectives at 312-744-8261.
