Woman fed up with neighbour always using her garden - despite living near park

A woman has been left irate by her neighbour constantly using her garden - despite living close to a large public park. The homeowner explained that her neighbour is in the process of selling her home, with potential buyers and estate agents regularly visiting the property.

To keep herself out of the way, the neighbour always wants to sit in the woman's garden with her dog. However, the woman says that the intrusion is now starting to get on her nerves, especially considering they live near a "huge leafy park".

Taking to Mumsnet, the woman fumed over the audacity of the neighbour's actions. As reported by the Mirror, she vented her frustrations in a post captioned: "Neighbour wants to sit in my garden."

Writing under the 'am I being unreasonable' section, the woman detailed her visit from the neighbour in question this afternoon. She said: "Not sure if I am being unreasonable or just curmudgeonly.

"My Neighbour is selling her house and had a visit this afternoon. She wants to sit in our garden in the shade (hot here today) for one hour with her dog whilst the estate agent shows the house.

"We live near a huge, leafy park with benches. Not sure why this has p***** me off really as it doesn't affect me, but why can't she just sit in the park for an hour?

"Am I being unreasonable?" She questioned. Fellow users of the online forum took to the comment section to share their thoughts.

Some users were keen to share essential ways to rid of the awkward situation, whilst others openly agreed that the woman was being unreasonable. One user suggested: "'I'm sorry but that doesn't work for me.

"Why not take a quick stroll around the park instead?' Should cover it."

"I would let either of mine. I don't see the issue she just wants to sit there with her dog," a second admitted.

A third agree: "I would absolutely let our neighbours do this but we regard them as good friends and we socialise together a lot." A fourth added: "Personally I wouldn't have a problem with this.

"If for whatever reason you don't want her to, it's quite easy to say no. I wouldn't ever expect any favours if you need them though."
