An 81-year-old woman died days after she was hit by a vehicle in northwest suburban Woodstock.
The woman, who lived in Woodstock, was struck about 5:15 p.m. Aug. 26 at South Fleming and Bull Valley roads, the Cook County medical examiner’s office said. She died Sunday afternoon at Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge.
An autopsy released Monday found she died from multiple blunt force injuries as a result of being hit by a vehicle, the medical examiner’s office said. Her death was ruled an accident.
Woodstock police did not respond Monday to requests for details on the incident.
