A 47-year-old woman was fatally shot in a drive-by in suburban North Chicago, according to preliminary information from North Chicago police.
An investigation found that the woman sitting in the passenger side seat of a vehicle that was parked in the 1500 block of Lincoln Street with a male, when another vehicle drove past them and parked in front of them, police said. Someone inside that vehicle pulled out a gun and fired shots into the vehicle the woman was sitting in before fleeing.
