A woman was fatally shot Tuesday night in Chicago Lawn on the South Side.
She was driving in the 3400 block of West 60th Place about 10:20 p.m. when someone in a black Jeep pulled alongside and opened fire, striking her in the head, Chicago police said.
She was taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where she was pronounced dead, police said. Her name hasn’t been released, and she has been listed as a Jane Doe.
No one was in custody.
