A woman had to be rescued and washed down by firefighters after she fell headfirst into a toilet while trying to save her phone.
The woman had been using her phone in the vault toilet at Mount Walker in Quilcene, Washington, US, when she dropped it into the waste below on Tuesday afternoon, April 19.
After disassembling the toilet seat, the woman used dog leads to try and fish the device out Kitsap Sun reports.
But when that failed, the determined hiker tied herself using the leads and tried to lower herself down - only to end up falling into the vault headfirst.

Brinnon Fire Department Chief Tim Manly said: "They didn't work very well and in she went."
The woman who had travelled to Mount Walker alone, attempted to escape from the vault but couldn't lift herself back out.
Miraculously after being reunited with her phone down in the excrement, the mobile was still working and she was able to get a signal to call 911.
“I imagine that she was probably very fortunate," Manly said.
"I don’t have any experience with that kind of a rescue, except for now, but I know that is not a good place to be.”

Firefighters lifted out the woman using a harness.
The woman was washed down and “was strongly encouraged to seek medical attention after being exposed to human waste, but she only wanted to leave,” the department said.
“This was pretty unique," Manly said of the incident.
"I’ve been doing this for 40 years and that was a first.”
