Woman falls from window of three-storey block of flats in Cardiff

A woman has been taken to hospital after falling from the window of a three-storey block of flats.

South Wales Police were called to Fairwater in Cardiff at about 9.45am on Saturday.

Officers attended the scene on Beechley Drive following reports that a woman had fallen from a window.

She was taken to the University Hospital of Wales in Cardiff by the ambulance service.

A police spokeswoman said her injuries are not thought to be life-threatening or life-changing.

The Wales Air Ambulance service were at the scene and landed in a nearby primary school.

South Wales Police released a statement which said: "South Wales Police received a call regarding concerns for the safety of a woman in the Fairwater area of Cardiff, shortly before 9.45am today.

"Officers attended Beechley Drive after a woman fell from a window.

"The woman has been taken to the University Hospital of Wales, Cardiff, by the ambulance service for treatment.

"Her injuries are not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing."
