Woman falls 18 floors to death

A woman died in a fall from the 18th floor of a condominium building in Bangkok's Watthana district on Sunday morning, police said.

Pol Lt Napat Suthayadilok, duty officer at Khlong Tan, said the building is on Ramkhamhaeng road adjacent to an Egat power station.

The body of a 41-year-old woman was found lying face down in a pool of blood on the ground near the fence, about 50 metres from the entrance gate. She was wearing only a white bra.

Investigators learned she had fallen from a room on the 18th floor. They forced open the room door, which was locked from inside, but found no sign of violence.

Pol Lt Napat said it was initially believed the woman committed suicide. Police would contact her relatives for questioning, he added.
