Woman faces six charges of attempted murder after unit fire

The fire ripped through the Cooper Plains apartment block on September 23.

A woman has been charged with six counts of attempted murder after allegedly setting a unit complex on fire and trying to kill residents inside.

Police allege the 26-year-old caused extensive damage to the building on Cromer Street in Coopers Plains, in Brisbane's south on Saturday afternoon.

She was initially charged with arson and endangering property by fire.

Additional charges were laid on Wednesday when the woman faced the Holland Park Magistrates Court.

The woman was remanded in custody to face the Brisbane Magistrates Court on October 16.
