Woman explains why she streamed 'Bee Movie' 357 times in a year

There's a simple reason why a woman in the United Kingdom streams "Bee Movie" nearly every day: Her infant son thinks it's the bee's knees.

Gemma Chalmers identified herself as the Netflix subscriber who streamed the 2007 animated movie starring Jerry Seinfeld 357 times in the past year, explaining it's the only movie that keeps her 10-month-old son Jaxson from crying.

"He watches the film from the moment he wakes up until he goes to sleep at night," Chalmers told The Sun in a new interview.

Chalmers, 29, adds that she's tried other movies with the young boy, but he keeps coming back to "Bee Movie."

"I calculated it _ and it might even be more than 357 times," she told the British newspaper.

Netflix revealed earlier this week that someone had streamed the movie that whopping number of times between Nov. 1, 2016, and November 2017, according to Business Insider.

The streaming service did not give the name of the user, but Chalmers says she received a series of messages from friends who were certain it was her.

"Bee Movie" centers on an anthropomorphic bee named Barry voiced by Seinfeld who attempts to find a career beyond the honey business after graduating from college. The largely forgettable film earned mixed reviews upon its theatrical release a decade ago.

The "Bee Movie" data released this week was part of Netflix's year in review. The service also revealed earlier this week that 53 users had watched its original movie "The Christmas Prince" at least 18 days in a row.
