Covid has turned many of our daily lives of upside down as we all learn to live with the so-called 'new normal'.
And for those looking for love, the pandemic has made dating particularly challenging.
Singletons who do meet up are in many cases having to keep a distance in the early stages of the relationship with fears about contracting the virus and having to self-isolate.
However according to the Daily Star one woman, Sarah Henley, is currently isolating with a man she had just met on popular dating app Tinder.
The Australian lass has been posting about the pair's unusual situation on TikTok, documenting their 'Omicron rom com' under the username @poppymoore777.
In a series of videos, she shows a snap of her positive Covid test and clips of empty beer crates and takeaway bags.
Sarah and her Tinder date even battled it out on game Mario Kart while cosying up on the sofa.
And it seems to be going well – as the potential suitor has also been busy in the kitchen whipping up meals for her.
TikTok users have become hooked on the non-traditional date, with the series of clips racking up three million views.
But, someone did point out why Sarah felt obliged to stay with her date despite her positive test.
Sarah explained: “Due to personal reasons that wasn’t possible (isolating by myself).”
Stunned by the modern day romance, many people fled to the comments to share their thoughts on the unconventional dating method.
One person commented: “At least you would know what it’s like to live with him so you can decide whether or not he's the one.”
Another user added: “This is a new age rom com.”
Whilst a third person voiced: “I mean I would rather this than alone.”
Someone else jested: “Omicron RomCom?”
As another person remarked: “Relationship 7 day free trial.”
