Woman dubbed 'Britain’s worst paedophile' given own flat funded by taxpayers

The woman dubbed Britain’s worst female paedophile has been given a new flat for Christmas – funded by taxpayers.

Former nursery worker Vanessa George has moved out of the bail hostel where she had been staying since October into her own pad.

Vile George abused dozens of babies and toddlers at Little Ted’s in Plymouth.

In 2009, she admitted seven counts of sexual assault and six of making and distributing indecent pictures of children. But there are fears she may have abused and photographed as many as 64 children.

George was jailed indefinitely and told to serve a minimum of seven years.

The parole board approved her release in July on the condition she is no longer allowed to own a phone or any other device capable of accessing the internet.

The 49-year-old is also not allowed to return to Devon and Cornwall, and is barred from going near nurseries, schools and playgrounds.

While George stayed at the hostel in Birmingham, angry protesters staged a demonstration demanding she be moved from the area.

It’s believed her new flat is also in the Midlands.
