Woman divides internet after receiving a note on her final bar shift

A debate kicked off after a woman shared a note she was given on her final shift at work.

She thought it was 'sweet' but others were quick to disagree.

The polarising note was left to Libby when she attended her last shift in a bar before heading off to university.

Anyone who has worked in a pub knows that some regulars who come in each day, can feel like part of the team just as much.

However, although Libby appreciated the note left, others branded it as 'creepy', Birmingham Live reports.

The note read: “Libby, have a great time at university and have a couple drinks on me. PS good luck.”

Writing on social media, she said: “A regular in the pub I work at has given me this on my last shift."

Libby also shared the punter has given her £20.

Hugh WAFC tweeted: "I get that the guy is tryna do something nice here, but it can't just be me who thinks that a bit creepy"

But Roberto Dawson hit back: "Horrible attitude which really saddens me to see. I hope others don't think like you. A nice gesture and a kind note is somehow "creepy". That says far more about you than the author. I really think you need some more kindness in your life if you've taken that view."

Alec commented: "Wonder if a young guy working there would have got the same, I doubt it."

Emily Bartle chipped in with in response: "And what are these “obvious reasons” you’re referring to? Cos she’s hot?"

She added: "Ever thought she’s probs just super good at her job? friendly? warm? ya know.. the way bartenders usually are.. yall sound salty, like some of yall never been tipped/gifted well and it shows. Sorry for yas."

"This country of today... some bloke can't do something nice without getting rubbished by people," agreed Gary Nicholls.
