Woman dismayed after knife tattoo on hand has 'awful' back-to-front result

A woman couldn't believe her eyes after getting a proper look at her latest tattoo - a shockingly executed knife design on her hand.

The tattoo fan had taken a risk by going for a 'get what you get' tattoo from a lucky dip in her local parlour. She managed to pull out a Shrek design initially, but switched it to a knife tatt soon afterwards.

However, the 23-year-old felt she had no reason to fear when she sat down in the tattooist's chair, stating a friend had recently had a positive experience.

Unfortunately, she was not happy with the outcome at all, blasting her new tat as "awful", and questioning why an apprentice was allowed to work on her hand without supervision.

In a video shared via TikTok, the woman, who goes by the username @malyev, said: "I got a tattoo yesterday, and it's awful. [...] I got my money back, so that's not the problem.

"I messaged the shop owner instead of the artist because I knew it was going to be kind of weird. Little did I know that, if you're an apprentice, as she was, you are not supposed to work on hands.

"You're supposed to work on arms and legs. And there was no one else in the shop. She was the only one there, and she did my f****** hand."

Showing a pic of the finished tattoo, Malyev, who clarified she had scheduled a cover-up, continued: "The knife is backward. Why is the blade pointing that way and not this way?"

In a follow-up vid, Malyev revealed her body art looked even worse after six days of healing, despairing: "You can count at least three blowouts. The ink is coming out on the handle.

"The ink is coming out up on the blade. The shading has completely gone down. You can tell on the tip of the knife that something f****** happened up there too."

Going forward, Malyev has plans to cover up her botched tat with a new design she's really excited about, keeping her followers updated with her progress.
