Woman discovers she's been eating ice lollies 'wrong' for 42 years - and she's not alone

We can all agree that this weather is hot, hot, hot - and it feels like the temperatures have been soaring for ages now.

If you're still trying to find the perfect way to get a break from the heat, you may be chowing down on ice lollies a-plenty to stay cool.

But one woman has shared that you've actually been eating your ice lollies wrong your whole life, while admitting she too had been doing it wrong too for 42 years.

Sam Bearfoot, who posts on TikTok as @iamsambearfoot, shared how she was stunned when she stumbled across a video of a woman showing the game-changing way to easily snap an ice pop into two pieces, meaning you can enjoy the sweet treat with ease.

The original video saw a clip of a woman simply snapping a red ice pop into two halves, making it look like the easiest task.

Sam then shared her reaction to the shocking discovery and quickly went to investigate whether it actually worked, and whether the hack was worth a try in the sweltering heat.

The woman filmed a quick clip as she rushed down the stairs to her kitchen and retrieved a slush puppy-flavoured lolly from her freezer.

"If this works..." Sam said as she shook her head.

As easy as in the first video, the TikToker simply snapped the yellow ice lolly in half, and she looked gobsmacked at her discovery.

"42 years I've been using my teeth," she sighed.

But she wasn't alone in attacking the ice pops all wrong, as people flooded the comments in solidarity, saying that they too hadn't been snapping them in half to make their lives easier.

One fumed; "46 here and been using my teeth or scissors!!"

"My entire childhood was a lie," another commented beside a laughing and crying emoji.
