After throwing out all possible causes of a stench from your fridge, have you ever found that the household appliance still reeks a "disgusting smell"?
Thankfully, a woman has discovered a little-known compartment that could be resulting in all of your problems.
Cleaning guru Leanne found the cause of the issue first-hand when the scent of her "smelly fridge" overtook her home.
Sharing the compartment to popular video-streaming service TikTok, Leanne - who boasts more than 750,000 followers on TikTok account @cleaningmummy - unveiled her shock after discovering that her fridge unknowingly had a tray.
Since sharing the clip online, Leanne's video has raked in over 280,000 views to date.
Captioning the video clip, she questioned: "Did you know there was a fridge tray? How did you find out? When did you last clean it?"
"Have you got a smell in your house, kitchen, or a smell that you think is coming from the fridge, but you've cleaned it, emptied it, and can't get rid of the smell?" She asked her followers.
The TikToker explained: "This is more than likely where the smell's coming from - there's a tray at the back of your fridge."
During the clip, the mum pulled out the back of her fridge to investigate. Upon her search, she discovered a hose that ran down the back of the fridge, which was causing the nasty smell.
She continued: "Pull out your fridge, go to the bottom, and there's a pipe that runs down, which anything that leaks in your fridge runs down into this tray.
"You need to clear it. You can unscrew them and give them a wash if they're really bad.
"Mine wasn't that bad because it's a new fridge, so I managed to get a cloth in there and give it a good wiping.
"If anything gets down there, it will smell disgusting. It will smell your whole house out. This is how I found out there was a tray in the first place."
Since sharing the video online, Leanne's TikTok has raked in over 100 comments - where people fled to the comments to thank the cleaning advocate for her advice.
One person wrote: "Oh god, I've never done mine, must be awful! Thanks for the great tip."
Meanwhile, a second user said: "Fab fridge tray clean."
"Fab fridge tray clean," a third added.
