Woman discovers 'life-changing' hack for scrubbing sofa stains with a pan lid

One woman has discovered a 'life-changing' hack to remove stains from her sofa and showed viewers on TikTok how she got the fabric looking as good as new.

The woman took inspiration from a stain-banishing trick that has recently been taking the social media app by storm, as cleaning lovers have found a simple yet effective way to lift marks and stains from fabric using items you most likely already have at home.

Taking to TikTok to share a tutorial for the hack, Brynee, who posts under the handle @clean_with_brynee, dissolved dishwasher powder in a bowl with some boiling water, before adding a microfibre cloth into the bowl, making sure it is fully soaked in the liquid.

She then wrapped the cloth around a saucepan lid, before tying the top part of the cloth around the nob on the pan lid with a hair tie.

Then, after hoovering her stained sofa to prepare it for the deep clean, she scrubbed the fabric with a pan lid, working in sections and going back and forth to ensure every area has been treated.

Once she is done scrubbing, the spillage stains have visibly disappeared, leaving the sofa looking spotless.

Even darker marks on the woman's sofa come up with ease, making the transformation incredibly impressive.

Many TikTok users rushed to the comments on the video to praise the hack, and questioned Brynee on what dishwasher powder she used.

She said: "It's called 'Pam's lemon dishwasher powder'. Just a cheap dishwashing powder from the supermarket".

One woman couldn't wait to try the hack, as she said: "I’m sooo doing this tomorrow wow".
