A 58-year-old woman died Monday from injuries in a crash last month in Scottsdale on the Southwest Side.

Judith Hartfield was pronounced dead about 5 a.m. at Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

On June 25, she was driving a 2019 Toyota Rav 4 about 9 p.m. in the 8500 block of South Pulaski Road when a man driving a Chevy Silverado at a high rate of speed struck her car, Chicago police said.

An autopsy found the woman died of blunt force injuries from the crash and ruled her death an accident, the medical examiner’s office said.

The 28-year-old driving the Chevy said he was being followed and was traveling at 75 mph at least, police said. He was issued citations for failure to reduce speed, driving an uninsured vehicle and causing bodily harm.
