A woman who was critically wounded in a double shooting in Little Village has died from her injuries.

Amelia Luna, 33, was pronounced dead at 3:07 p.m. Sunday at Mount Sinai Hospital, the Cook County medical examiner’s office said.

She was in a vehicle with 32-year-old Arturo Luna about 5:15 a.m. Jan. 25 in the 3400 block of West 24th Street when someone fired shots from an SUV, Chicago police and the medical examiner’s office said.

Arturo Luna was taken to Mount Sinai where he was later pronounced dead, while Amelia was listed in critical condition at the time, authorities said.

Autopsy results released Tuesday found Amelia Luna died of complications from her gunshot wounds, the medical examiner’s office said. Both of their deaths were ruled homicides.
