Woman dies suddenly at Omagh Bus Station

Police are investigating the sudden death of a 39-year-old woman at Omagh Bus Station on Saturday.

A number of ambulances and PSNI officers were in attendance at the scene at the bus depot on Mountjoy Road in the Co Tyrone town.

A post mortem examination will be carried out in due course to determine the woman's cause of death, which police said is not being treated as suspicious at this time.

A PSNI spokesperson said: "Police attended the scene of a sudden death of a 39-year-old woman on the Mountjoy Road, Omagh on Saturday August 7.

"A post mortem examination will be carried out in due course, however, the death is not being treated as suspicious at this time."

Today they opened a further investigation into the death of man who fell into the Folly River in Armagh in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Police said the incident happened in the Killuney Drive area of the city.

Emergency services, including fire crews, attended and recovered the man from the water but he was pronounced dead a short time later.

Police detectives in Co Armagh said the incident happened at around 2.30am on Sunday morning. A post mortem examination will be carried out in due course to determine the cause of death.

A PSNI spokesperson said: “Enquiries are continuing and officers would ask anyone with information which could assist with their enquiries to contact them in Armagh on 101 quoting reference number 307 08/08/21.
