Death of Ridgewood woman on Christmas Eve not suspicious, police say

Police say there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death of a woman from the northern Perth suburb of Ridgewood on Christmas Eve.

Emergency services were called to the woman's home early on Tuesday morning.

The woman, aged in her 30s, was taken to hospital where she later died.

A man at the home took the woman to hospital and assisted police with their inquiries.

The woman's three children were home at the time of the incident.

No charges have been laid. A report will be prepared for the coroner.

Man found dead in Perth park

Meanwhile, Homicide Squad detectives are investigating the discovery of a man's body in the eastern Perth suburb of Ascot.

The man was found unresponsive by passers-by in Adachi Park on Great Eastern Highway about 8:20am on Christmas Eve.

"We are examining CCTV and speaking to witnesses," Acting Detective Superintendent Brett Ranford said.

"From what we know at this stage we are concerned that it is a homicide.

"We are still trying to establish his identity."

Detectives said they would like to speak to anyone who was in the Adachi Park area on Tuesday morning.
