Woman dies in hospital days after being pulled from Kilburn house fire

A young woman has died four days after suffering critical injuries in a house fire in Adelaide's inner-north.

The 23-year-old died in hospital yesterday.

She was rushed to hospital in a critical condition last Sunday after being removed from the burning house on Northcote Street in Kilburn.

Other people in the home at the time of the fire had been evacuated.

Police said the cause of the fire was yet to be determined and the investigation was ongoing.

Anyone with information has been asked to contact Crime Stoppers.

Car and train collide at Winninowie

In a separate incident, emergency services are responding to a serious crash involving a car and a train in South Australia's mid north.

The crash occurred at about 12:30pm near the Augusta Highway at Winninowie, about 21 kilometres south of Port Augusta.

Motorists have been warned to to expect delays and avoid the area if possible.
