A woman has died following a road traffic collision involving a truck in Livingston.
The incident happened around 2.20am on Sunday (August 7) at Alderstone Road in the town.
Emergency services attended and the 28-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
A 47-year-old man has been arrested in connection and enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.
Sergeant Barry Sommerville said: “Our thoughts are with the woman’s family and friends at this difficult time.
“We are appealing for any witnesses and anyone with CCTV or dashcam footage to get in touch with officers as part of our enquiries.
“Anyone with information should contact police on 101 quoting incident number 0512 of 7 August.”
