A woman in her 40s has died following an overnight house fire in north Dublin.
The blaze broke out at 8:45pm last night at a property on Howth Road in Clontarf. Emergency services rushed to the scene, but sadly a woman aged in her 40s was pronounced dead.
A garda spokesman told Dublin Live: "Gardaí were alerted by local Fire Services following reports of a house fire on Howth Road, Clontarf, Dublin 3, shortly after 8:45pm, on Thursday 15th December 2022.

"The occupant of the house, a woman in her 40s, was pronounced dead at the scene. Her body has been removed to the Mortuary in Whitehall, Dublin where a post-mortem will take place at a later date."
