A woman died Sunday after being wounded in a shooting that left another person dead earlier this month in Cragin.

Cecelia Bonilla, 41, was pronounced dead at 1:23 p.m. Sunday at Illinois Masonic Medical Center, the Cook County medical examiner’s office said.

On June 11, officers found Bonilla and Earl Casteel, 39, about 1:25 a.m. on a porch in the 4900 block of West Wrightwood Avenue, Chicago police and the medical examiner’s office said. Both had suffered multiple gunshot wounds.

Casteel was pronounced dead later that day at Illinois Masonic Medical Center, officials said.

Autopsy results found Bonilla and Casteel died of multiple gunshot wounds, the medical examiner’s office said. Their deaths were ruled homicides.
