Woman dies at scene after air ambulance lands on playing fields

A woman has died after an air ambulance landed nearby.

Police and paramedics were called to Orchard Way in Bebington, Wirral, on Monday (April 10). Residents reported seeing an air ambulance landing on the playing fields on Kings Lane.

Merseyside Police said it was reported that the woman, in her 50s, had suffered a medical episode. Paramedics attended but the woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

Her death is not believed to be suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner. A police spokesperson said: "We can confirm patrols were called to Orchard Way in Bebington last night (Monday 10 January) at around 6.30pm following reports that a woman in her 50s had suffered a medical episode.

"Paramedics attended but the woman was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. The death is not believed to be suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner."
