Woman dies at remote Scots wedding after taking unwell

A woman has died after taking unwell at a remote Scots wedding.

Cops raced to the celebration in the Rottal area in Glen Clova, in Cairngorms, on Saturday, August 28.

It's understood the alarm was raised after a guest took unwell at a wedding at Rottal Steading around 9pm.

Emergency services rushed to the scene at the luxury venue but the guest could not be saved.

Police confirmed a 67-year-old woman died.

A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We received report of a 67-year-old woman having taken unwell at a premises in the Rottal area around 9pm on Saturday, 28 August, 2021.

“Emergency services attended and the woman died a short time later. A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
