A woman died and five were injured when a tree fell on an autorickshaw in Vijayapura on Tuesday.
Yallamma Kondaguli (45) died on the spot when the tree fell on the auto in the Police Training Centre in the city.
Indutayi Kulkarni, Chandrakala Walikar, Mandakini Badiger, Suvarna Majjigi and auto driver Sachin Rathod suffered injuries.
The tree inside the compound wall of the training centre fell on the auto that was on Solapur Road. Yallamma was crushed under the tree. The other five were admitted to hospital.
The six of them were gong to a family function in Siddharoodha Colony in the city.
A case has been registered.
