Woman dies after Vic cement truck crash

Victoria Police are investigating a three-vehicle crash in Horsham. (AAP)

One woman has died and four other women are in hospital after a cement truck hit the back of an SUV that then crashed into a ute in western Victoria.

Police were called to the crash on Stawell Road in Horsham about 2.40pm on Friday.

Investigators say the cement truck was driving north towards the intersection of Williams Road when it collided with the SUV, which collided with the ute.

A woman in the SUV died at the scene. She is yet to be formally identified.

Three other women in the SUV were taken to hospital with serious injuries.

The ute's female driver was taken to hospital with minor injuries.

Police are investigating the exact circumstances of the crash.

The driver of the cement truck, a Horsham man, 52, is speaking to police.
