Woman dies after taking unwell on Scots road as emergency services race to scene

A woman has died after taking unwell on a Scots road.

Emergency services raced to Glenmuir Road in Cumnock, East Ayrshire, after the alarm was raised at around 2.15pm on Thursday, March 31.

Ambulance crews attended, but tragically the woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

There are no suspicious circumstances and officers say a report has been sent to the procurator fiscal.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Officers were called to Glenmuir Road, Logan around 2.15pm on Thursday, March 31, 2022 to a report a woman had taken unwell.

"The woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

"There are no suspicious circumstances and a report has been sent to the procurator fiscal.”
