A woman has died after falling from a bridge in Edinburgh city centre.
Emergency services were called to the scene following reports of a woman falling from height at the Cowgate, near George IV Bridge, at about 9:40am.
Officers confirmed that the woman died at the scene.
Road closures are now in place around Chambers Street, George IV Bridge, Guthrie Street and Grassmarket.
It comes just days after a 73-year-old died after falling from height onto East Market Street in Edinburgh on Friday.
