A woman has died after a collision between her, a car, and a lorry in North Dublin this afternoon.
Gardai rushed to the scene of the accident in Phbsboro at around 1pm today.
The woman, whose age is not known, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The usually busy road is now closed and Gardai are asking motorists to avoid the area as forensic investigators comb the scene.
Gardaai have also issued an appeal to any witnesses or anyone who may have dash cam footage f the incident to come forward.
A Garda spokesperson said: "Gardaí are currently at the scene of a fatal road traffic collision involving a lorry, a car and a pedestrian that occurred at approximately 1pm on Saturday, 29th August, 2020, on the Phibsborough Road, Dublin 7.
"The female pedestrian (age unconfirmed at this time) was pronounced dead at the scene. The occupants of the lorry and car were uninjured.
"The road is currently closed and Forensic Collision Investigators are at the scene. Local diversions are in place.
"Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to this collision to come forward. Gardaí are also appealing for any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) who were travelling in the area at the time to make this footage available to Gardaí.
