An 83-year-old woman has died after her car was hit by a passenger train at a level crossing at Armidale in NSW's Central West.
Emergency services responded to the crash on Old Gostwyck Road, Armidale, on Wednesday evening.
The woman was the sole occupant of the car and suffered fatal injuries.
Police said there were no reports of anyone on the train being hurt.
Police will prepare a report for the coroner.
