A woman has died after being struck by a car in Bearsden this afternoon.
Police and emergency services rushed to the scene of the incident on Speirs Road after being alerted around 12.15pm.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
Her family has been made aware.
Speirs Road and Albert Drive remain closed as crash scene investigators examine the scene and police continue their enquiries.
A spokeswoman for Police Scotland said: "Around 12:15pm police received a report of a woman being struck by a vehicle on Speirs Road, Bearsden.
"Emergency services attended and the woman was pronounced dead. Her family has been made aware. Speirs Road at Albert Drive remains closed as crash scene investigators examine the scene and enquiries are continuing."
