A woman has died after being knocked down in a horrific crash over the weekend.
The 61-year-old, from Speke, was hit by a Vauxhall Insignia on Hillfoot Avenue in Hunts Cross just after 5pm on Saturday, February 1.
Emergency services were called to the scene before the woman was rushed to hospital for treatment to serious injuries.
A spokesperson for Merseyside Police confirmed on Wednesday that the woman had died.
In a statement, the force said: "A 61-year-old woman from Speke has sadly died after suffering serious injuries following a road traffic collision on Saturday, 1 February 2020.
"Officers were called to Hillfoot Avenue just after 5pm after receiving reports that a Vauxhall Insignia car had collided with a woman pedestrian.
"Emergency Services attended and the woman was taken to hospital for treatment but sadly died a few days later."

The driver of the Insignia, a 40-year-old man from Halewood, stopped at the scene but was arrested by officers short time later.
He was arrested on suspicion of drug driving and has subsequently been released under investigation.
Just a few hours after the first crash, a motorbike rider was thrown from his bike in front of police investigating the scene.
The 21-year-old rider was taken to hospital with injuries to his head and pelvis after losing control of the bike at the junction of Woodend Avenue and Hillfoot Avenue.
A spokesman for the Merseyside Police said: "(The rider) was given first aid by officers at the scene and taken to hospital by paramedics, where his condition is described as serious but stable...
"The bike, a Pulse XF motorbike, was thought to have been stolen on Fleetwood Road, Southport on January 27."
Police also confirmed the man was not believed to have been wearing a helmet at the time of the collision.
A witness said: "Didn't see the first accident but the second was awful, the bang was horrble. Not sure if the motorbike was trying to skip the cordon but the police were shouting 'no' at him. Horrible to witness especially with a little one.
"My heart goes out to all the families involved."
