A pedestrian has died after being hit by multiple cars in the early hours of this morning.
The woman - who has not been named - is believed to have been struck by "at least five vehicles" on the A331 near Ash Bridge at Tongham, Surrey, according to police.
Investigators are now seeking information and dashcam footage following the incident, which happened at 12.03am, reports SurreyLive.
A witness reported seeing damaged vehicles near the scene.
In a statement, Surrey Police said: "We were called to the A331 near the Ash bridge shortly after midnight following reports that the body of a woman had been found in the carriageway.
"It is believed she was struck by at least five vehicles and enquiries remain ongoing to identify these vehicles.

"The road is currently closed in both directions while we deal with the incident.

Writing in a response to the force's Facebook post, one person said: "When I went over the roundabout there were definitely cars there that had damage."
Another person added: "My thoughts with her family and friends. Tragic few days in Tongham and local area."
It came hours after tributes were laid at the scene of another crash in the area which saw one teenager killed and eight other people injured.
The car collided with a taxi that was travelling in the opposite direction just after 1am on Sunday (September 26) in Tongham.
Police confirmed the teenage driver of a Volkswagen Polo was killed in the incident.
Flowers and messages were piled up at the scene on Monday morning.
Frimley Green FC posted on social media to say it was one of the club's under 18 players who died in the incident, with several other players injured.
