A arrested after a teenager and a man were stabbed in the street in Longsight has been detained under the Mental Health Act, police have said.
The boy, 17, and the man, 20, were taken to hospital with stab wounds following the incident on Meldon Road.
Their injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
Officers were called to reports of an attack at around 4pm on Tuesday (October 15).

A 28-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of section 18 assault.
Greater Manchester Police have now confirmed the woman has been detained under the Mental Health Act.
