A woman was detained under the Mental Health Act after a house caught fire and damage was caused to a car.
Emergency services were called to Ingleby Road, New Ferry, to reports of a concern for the safety of a woman at the property.
Once at the scene, officers found that there was a fire in the bedroom of the address.

Officers also found that a car outside of the property had been damaged and the back window was smashed.
Three fire engines attended and crews wearing breathing apparatus extinguished the fire.
Police have confirmed that a woman was taken to hospital and detained under the Mental Health Act.
Merseyside police told the ECHO: "At around 6.40pm yesterday (Sunday 27 February), we received a report of a concern for safety of a woman at an address on Ingleby Road, New Ferry.
"It was further reported that the property was on fire and a vehicle outside the address had been damaged.
"Emergency services attended and Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service attended and extinguished the fire.
"A woman was taken to hospital where she was detained under the Mental Health Act."
A spokesperson for Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service said: "[We were] called to Ingleby Road, New Ferry, on Sunday 27th February.
"Crews were alerted at 6.50pm and on scene at 6.54pm. Three fire engines attended.
"On arrival crews found a fire in the bedroom of the property. Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used a hose reel jet to extinguish the fire.
"The fire had been extinguished by 7pm. All persons were accounted for.
"Fire crews left the scene at 8.05pm and handed the incident over to Merseyside Police."
