Dining out can be expensive, so café-lovers are often keen to save pennies where they can. After all, every little adds up. But one woman keen to save on her breakfast may have gone too far, if her critics are to be believed.
A savvy diner has been blasted after sharing her money-saving avocado hack, with people calling the trick "cheap" and "embarrassing". But she has stood by the suggestion, despite the backlash and her admission she wondered if using the tip made her an "a*****e". And it is fair to say the hack ignited a fiery debate - even after the diner tried to defend her decision.

Trouble kicked off after Milly Rose Bannister, from Australia, revealed how she saves money on her breakfast order.
Posting to TikTok as @millyrosebannister, she shared a video recommending diners should "BYO avo."
Introducing her bring your own avocado idea, Milly began: "Does anybody else do this, or am I the a**hole?
"Basically, the owner of this joint is pretty rude and mean, so I always bring my own avocado instead of paying like $6 (£5) for it, and I save $5 (£4) every time, and then I've got a spare avocado to go home with."
Her video, which illustrates her using the tip, concludes with a playful "hehe".
But many people did not see the funny side of the clip and took to the comments to share their outrage.
One person said: " If you’re asking the question you know the answer."
And a second wrote: "There's a big difference between being savvy and cheap. Eat at home if you've an issue paying café or restaurant prices."

"Even the avocado is embarrassed," quipped another.
However, some people did not see the problem.
"You're still putting money in the cafe's hands so I don’t see the problem," read one comment.
Milly also defended herself, writing: "Pls keep in mind: this café is thriving. Owner lies. I don’t always do it, only HERE when I’m in Coles before. I’ve spent $180 there this week. Chill."
And in response to a commenter who said: "This is extremely sad," she questioned: "Isn’t it better for me to spend $14 (£11) there than $0???"
However, this is turn led to further debate about the fairness of the hack.
