A woman is dead, a man is critically injured and another man is in hospital under police guard after a shooting in Melbourne's inner west.
Emergency services responded to reports of a shooting in Yarraville about 10:30am.
The 25-year-old woman died at the scene, on Salisbury Street.
One of the men, aged 29, is in hospital with life-threatening injuries, authorities said.
"A 55-year-old Altona North man was also conveyed to hospital under police guard with what appeared to be gunshot wounds," Victoria Police said in a statement.
"A firearm was subsequently recovered at the scene. All parties involved in the incident are known to each other."
Several streets in the area were this afternoon blocked off by police, as officers knocked on doors and interviewed neighbours.
The Homicide Squad was on the scene this afternoon.
