A woman has been killed after crashing into a set of traffic lights in Nantgarw.
South Wales Police said a 57-year-old woman died in the crash on the A468 (Caerphilly Road).
The crash involved a single vehicle and the driver, from Caerphilly, died at the scene.
The incident happened at around 10.20am on Tuesday at the junction of Heol Y Dderwen.
The woman, who was driving a blue Seat, was taken to the University Hospital of Wales in Cardiff.
The crash caused long delays in the area after the road was shut for several hours.
Police are now appealing for any witnesses or drivers that may have dash-cam footage.
