Woman, daughter drown in flooded field in Malappuram

A woman and her 13-year-old daughter drowned in a flooded paddy field at Othalur near Changaramkulam on Saturday. The victims were identified as Shiny from Kunnamkulam and her daughter Ashcharya.

The family had reached Changaramkulam for Onam holidays. Shiny drowned while attempting to rescue her daughter, who slipped into the water.
