Woman cyclist dies in collision with lorry on south side of Glasgow

A woman has died after colliding with a lorry while cycling in Glasgow.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the fatal road crash which happened at around 9.15am on Wednesday, May 22.

The woman died at the scene of the crash in Nithsdale Drive at Pollokshaws Road on the south side of the city.

The lorry driver was uninjured.

Nithsdale Drive was closed to traffic as police officers carried out enquiries. The road reopened later in the day.

Sergeant Mark McGowan at Police Scotland's Road Policing Complex at Helen Street, Govan would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the crash.
