A woman who was brutally attacked by an illegal immigrant in 2008 is criticizing Vice President Kamala Harris over a resurfaced speech where Harris referred to the incident as a 'glitch' in the system. Amanda Kiefer, the victim of the attack that left her with a fractured skull, expressed her dismay at Harris' characterization of the situation.
Kiefer highlighted the impact the attack had on her life and questioned the Democratic Party's stance on illegal immigration, citing a history of enabling and protecting illegal immigrant criminals in San Francisco. She also criticized the Biden-Harris administration for allowing millions of illegal immigrants, including convicted criminals and individuals on the terror watch list, into the country.
The incident in question occurred when Kiefer was assaulted by Alexander Izaguirre, an illegal immigrant who had been released due to a program initiated by Harris during her time as San Francisco District Attorney. Izaguirre had previously been arrested on drug charges but was able to evade consequences under the program.

In a speech from 2010, Harris defended her program, stating that innovation in the criminal justice system comes with risks. She acknowledged that there were flaws in the design of the program but emphasized her focus on non-violent offenders.
Kiefer, who has since distanced herself from her liberal views and aligned with former President Trump, expressed her concerns about safety under Harris' leadership. She recounted her decision to leave San Francisco due to feeling unsafe and her lack of confidence in the current administration.
Despite Harris' assurances at the time that Izaguirre would be prosecuted and deported, Kiefer's experience has left a lasting impact on her perception of political leadership and immigration policies.
