A WOMAN has been charged with high-range drink driving after she crashed her car at Salt Ash while allegedly more than four times over the legal limit.
Port Stephens-Hunter Police District officers say they were patrolling Richardson Road about 9.30pm on Saturday night when they found a vehicle that had crashed into a drainage culvert.
The female driver, 29, was arrested and taken to Raymond Terrace police station where she underwent a breath analysis and allegedly returned a reading of 0.213 - more than four times the legal blood alcohol limit.
The woman's license was suspended and she was ordered to appear in Raymond Terrace Local Court on January 20. Meanwhile, the driver of a Toyota HiLux has suffered serious head injuries after his car crossed to the wrong side of the road, struck a barrier and rolled down an embankment at Wingham.
