Other neighbours told how they were not allowed to leave their homes after police arrived on the scene.

One woman told the Record she had to ask if she could leave her home to attend a doctor's appointment.

She said: "We were told to stay inside and we weren’t allowed to leave the house or take the cars out the street.

“I had a doctors appointment and I had to ask for permission to leave.”

Further down the road, a communal bin area was also taped off with police standing guard.

The man’s death is currently being treated as “unexplained” as enquiries remain ongoing.
