Woman could be key witness to Briggate attack on man left with broken jaw

West Yorkshire Police are appealing for people who may have seen an assault on Briggate to come forward with information, after a 56-year-old man suffered a broken jaw.

The attack happened at around 1:50am in the early hours of Sunday, June 9 on Briggate, leaving the victim with a broken jaw as he was knocked unconscious.

Officers have released a still image of the woman above, who was captured in the vicinity on CCTV footage at the time of the incident. Police think she may have witnessed the assault and could hold key evidence in regards to the investigation.

Anyone with information can contact Leeds District CID via their online web chat forum, quoting crime reference number 13190291323.

Alternatively, you can call West Yorkshire Police on 101 or pass information anonymously to independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
