LUCKNOW: Two miscreants impersonating as policemen robbed a woman of her ornaments in Aashiana on Saturday. This is the third case in a week where a woman was conned by miscreants posing as cops.
Kishana Devi of Saketpuri in Alambagh was struck by the miscreants near Prem Plaza in Ruchi Khand II around11.20 am. Posing as policemen, they asked why she was wearing ornaments when the same was not allowed. Intimidated, Devi could not confront them.
“They asked me to put off my ornaments, wrapped them in a piece of paper and then returned the packet to me before leaving. When I checked it, I found small pieces of stones,” she said. A case has been registered.
