Woman climbs out of boot after driving right through garage wall

A woman had to be taken to hospital after smashing her car through a garage wall.

Firefighters from Basingstoke attended the scene yesterday afternoon (June 23) after a car went through the rear wall of a garage.

The woman was helped from her car by firefighters on Woolford Way after freeing herself by climbing out the boot.

A Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson yesterday said: "Firefighters from Basingstoke attended Woolford Way at 12:42 today after a car went through the rear wall of a garage.

"One female casualty was helped from the vehicle by firefighters and handed into the care of ambulance colleagues."

Police confirmed that no injuries have been reported following the incident.
